Our Company

Welcome to KACI

In 1988, Katayama American Company, Inc. (KACI) was established in Shelbyville, Kentucky, to bring Katayama’s expertise and advanced manufacturing solutions to North American OEMs.

For over thirty years, we have provided top automakers with exceptional products and service, drawing on nearly eighty years of experience supplying Asia.

A family business

Three generations of Katayama.

For three generations, the Katayama family has been dedicated to providing advanced manufacturing solutions across Asia and North America. Our legacy began in 1947 when Kakuji Katayama founded the original facility in Okayama, Japan. Today, under the leadership of third-generation president Masayuki Katayama, we proudly continue this tradition of innovation and excellence as a privately owned family business.
